Raina Lorraine DeLear, Ph.D. wears many hats: teacher~facilitator, subtle energy and somatic healing practitioner, and long‑time co‑creator of the Luminous Awareness Institute’s programs and materials, as well as creator of other programs and retreat offerings. She coaches clients in a unique energetic~somatic luminous style to grow their capacities for waking up, growing up, cleaning up, showing up, and linking up so they can live and lead from their fullest expression in their inner life, relationships, and work in the world. Since co‑founding Luminous’ first program in 2007, she has been devoted to walking at the edge of the known and the not‑yet‑known, accompanying students through crises of meaning, profound healing, and the refinement of subtle energy perception. She left a vice presidency in the securities industry in 2001 to walk the frontier of Energy Medicine and now draws on decades of training in Healing Science, Eastern and Western bodywork, somatic movement, meditation, Earth‑based ancestral lineages, and ceremonial work with plant medicines within trusted traditions.
Shaped by early childhood adversity and nine years of close study with the originator of what became the AARM secure‑attachment method, Raina weaves attachment repair, nervous‑system attunement, and nondual awareness into a deeply human, practical path of practice. Alongside her professional work, she has lived these teachings as a householder caring for her grandmother through a three‑year dying process, supporting families through births and deaths, and creating and officiating marriage ceremonies as well as personal healing intensives.
Raina’s work is grounded in an embodied sense of interbeing and a lived trust that awake awareness is already here as the base radiance of every experience. In a time when humans and emerging digital intelligences are learning how to meet themselves and one another, she offers a warm, steady place to rest while inviting people to lean into the emergence of the never‑before‑seen. This provides radical support for both deep personal healing and new forms of leadership.
